How to Customize Your "From" Email with sendAs
Using the sendAs email customization tool, you can sync a single email with the system and select different email addresses to appear as the "From" in the recipient's email inbox.
This feature helps with branding by funneling responses to your synced email. You can choose your preferred default "From" email address and select different "From" email addresses depending on the person you're contacting.
Bonus! You can set a "sendAS" Email as a default so all of your outbound emails show the "alias" email instead of your synced email.
Step 1
Click on Settings on the left-hand of the system.
Step 2
Click on Integrations.
The Integration page will open, and your synced email with Google or Outlook will be displayed.
Step 3
Click "Add new sendAs" to create a new "From" email address.
An Email Alias pop-up box will appear.
Step 4
Add the Alias Email address to the designated field.
This does not need to be an actual email but rather an "alias" email that sits on top of your synced email in the system.
Step 5
Add the Sender Name to the designated field.
Step 6
Click the blue "Create" button to save the new sendAs From email address.
You will now see the email address and name of the sender below your synced email address.
Step 7
You can keep your synced email as the default and select the "sendAs" email addresses when you compose a new email.
In this example, I will open a new email on a contact record showing you the synced email as default and a dropdown menu where you can choose a sendAs email to show as the "From" in the recipient email inbox.
