How to Create a Custom Lead Form Dropdown Menu

πŸŒŸπŸŽ‰ When you use a Lead Form with Material or Landing Page, you can give Contacts who opt-in for more information a dropdown menu to select a relevant answer to your question.

πŸŒŸπŸŽ‰ Once they choose their answer and submit the form, it will automatically fill in the Custom Contact Field on their Contact Record! πŸš€ This way, you can get accurate and consistent information from your Contacts! πŸ“ŠπŸ‘

Step 1

Click on the "Contacts" people icon on the left-hand side of the system.

Step 2

Click on "Contact Manager."

Step 3

Click on the "Custom Contact Fields" tab option across the top of the page.

Step 4

Click on the blue "New Custom Field" button.

Step 5

The "Add Custom Field" pop-up will appear.

  • Name

    • Name the Custom Contact Field.

      • For example, if you create a Custom Contact Field, ask the Contact how long they have been in real estate and supply a dropdown menu to select a period.

  • Type

    • Click on "Dropdown" on the menu.

      • This will add an "Options" field directly underneath the "Dropdown" section on the Add Custom Field pop-up.

      • Type in one of the Contact's selections when filling out the Lead Capture Form.

        • For example, if you ask, "Years as RE Agent?" you would type in "1-5 years," "6-10 years.", and so on.

      • Click on the "+" button to add another blank Options field, etc.

  • Placeholder

    • This will show when you initially open the Custom Contact Field; however, it will disappear when you click the "Dropdown menu" option.

Step 6

Click the blue "Add" button to create and add the Dropdown menu to the Custom Contact Field options.

Step 7

You will now see the Custom Contact Field dropdown option on the Custom Contacts Field list.

Now, you can navigate to the Lead Capture tool within the Lead Hub to create a new Custom Lead Form or Edit an existing one.

*Note: you can insert the dropdown menu when you click the "add field" option when building your form.
